La superficie equorea del nostro pianeta supera quella terrestre per estensione, ma è ancora in gran parte un ecosistema incompreso e guastato dalla specie umana. Eppure è all’origine dell’esistenza della vita stessa, è la nostra prima casa.

MARE vuole trascrivere e preservare le tracce che l’acqua lascia nel suo fluire, è un tentativo di comprensione dell’elemento primario attraverso la sua stessa capacità di scrittura.

L’artista Roberto Ghezzi è per noi un tramite, raccoglie queste storie in semplici e raffinate tele, da lui definite Naturografie, sulle quali la maestria dell’uomo si converte in arte, sublimate dall’umiltà e dal rispetto con cui egli si approccia agli elementi: un senso di appartenenza atavico all’ecosistema, una circolarità in cui l’elemento umano è artefice del manufatto ma complice dell’ambiente in cui agisce, un’equilibrata simbiosi fra tutti gli elementi che costituiscono il caos ordinato in cui esplorare e da cui selezionare. Mari, fiumi, laghi, acqua in tutte le sue forme, ma anche aria, terra ed esseri viventi sono la tavolozza da cui Ghezzi preleva le sue tinte, il tempo della natura diventa quello della creazione e il susseguirsi del ciclo vitale quotidiana ispirazione.

MARE nasce grazie alla sinergia tra arte, design e tutela ambientale, incarnate rispettivamente da: Nous Art Gallery, galleria dalla vocazione ambientale, Nautor’s Swan, azienda leader nella costruzione di yacht a vela ad alte prestazioni, e Marevivo, ONG ambientale italiana con trentacinque anni di esperienza nella protezione dell’oceano, con un focus sul Mar Mediterraneo.

MARE è formata da una selezione di opere di Roberto Ghezzi e da alcune Naturografie site specific realizzate nell’area naturale protetta della Marina di Scarlino, del Padule e di altre riserve naturali circostanti.

Parte del ricavato della vendita delle opere sarà devoluto a Marevivo per finanziare progetti di pulizia delle acque marine.

The aequoreal surface of our planet exceeds that of the earth by extension, but it is still a misunderstood ecosystem spoiled by the human species. Yet it is at the origin of the existence of life itself, it is our first home.

MARE wants to transcribe and preserve the traces that water leaves in its flow, in an attempt to comprehend the primary element through its own writing ability.

Artist Roberto Ghezzi is an intermediary for us, he collects these stories in simple and refined canvases, called Naturografie, on which man’s mastery is converted into art, sublimated by the humility and respect with which he approaches the elements: a sense of atavistic belonging to the ecosystem, a circularity wherein the human element is both the creator of the artifact and the accomplice of the environment in whom it acts, a balanced and realistic symbiosis between all the elements that constitute the ordered chaos in which to explore and from which to select. Seas, rivers, lakes, water in all its forms, but also air, earth and living beings are the palette from which Ghezzi takes his colors, the time of nature becomes that of creation and the succession of the daily life cycle’s the primary inspiration.

MARE comes form the synergy between art, design and environmental protection, embodied respectively by: Nous Art Gallery, gallery with an environmental vocation, Nautor’s Swan, a leading company in the construction of high-performance sailing yachts, and Marevivo, an Italian environmental NGO with thirty-five years of experience in ocean protection, with a focus on the Mediterranean Sea.

MARE consists of some artworks by Roberto Ghezzi and of some site specific Naturographies created by the artist in the protected natural area of ​​Marina di Scarlino, the Padule and other surrounding nature reserves..

Part of the proceeds from the sale of the artworks will be donated to Marevivo to finance marine water cleaning projects.
